ecoflow’s power hat has solar panels so users can charge their devices as they walk in the sun

Using heat waves to the user’s benefit may be a reason behind making the EcoFlow Power Hat. It’s the manufacturer’s summer cap that has hidden solar panels around it so that users can power up their smartphones and devices as they walk in the heat. The fashion technology allows for solar charging on the go since panels encircle the Power Hat. EcoFlow says that it’s made of lightweight material to avoid lugging around extra weight.

The hat is also ideal for outdoor use since it is water and dustproof. In this way, travelers who go to sandy and watery areas may not need to worry about splashes or dust landing on their hat. There’s a partial covering around the top part to let the air flow in and out around the head area. The users also get a strap around the hat so they can adjust its size. So far, the accessory only comes in black.

The EcoFlow Power Hat is also foldable, even though it’s full of hidden solar panels. This integrated technology sits a bit far from the folds so that users can bend and stash the hat whenever they need to. The accessory only weighs around 370 grams, and once folded, it can fit into a backpack or a sling bag. Charging-wise, the Power Hat has two ports, USB-A and USB-C.

Assuming that the smartphone’s battery capacity is 4,000 mAh, the solar panels can fully charge it in around three or four hours. Thanks to its encircling panels, users don’t need to follow the sun to power up their devices. As of publishing this story, the EcoFlow Power Hat comes in two sizes, medium to large and large to extra-large, and is now available for pre-order at 79 USD per piece (129 USD is the original price). Shipping begins in mid-September 2024.
